Kenya is fast becoming one of Africa’s most compelling luxury travel destinations. Covering about 580,000–583,000 km², the country straddles the equator between 5° N and 5° S latitudes, with terrain ranging from the Indian Ocean coastline, coastal plains, lowlands and savannahs, to high plateaus, mountains (including Mount Kenya at over 5,100 m), and the dramatic Great Rift Valley. Its geography offers a huge variety of climate, scenery, and wildlife.
